Apart from the curricular development of the student, the departmental teachers arrange following co-curricular and extra-curricular activities to enhance the overall development of student in that language.

i) Organization of one day seminars:
a) On 1st Feb. 2002 , the department of Marathi organized a one day seminar on ‘Forms of Literature, Nature and concept ‘ at the University level.
b) On 19th Nov. 2009, a one day seminar on ‘The literary work of Dr. Mohan Patil’ was organized by the department.
ii) Participation of teachers in various seminars, workshops, conferences etc. to enhance knowledge in the subject.
iii) The performance of the students of department has been monitored through home assignments, oral tests, internal assessments, seminar, presentation, paper reading etc.
iv) Organization of departmental tour every year, with an intention to study different dialects and variety of use of Marathi.
v) The establishment of Kusumagraj Vangmaya Charcha Mandal, Sane Guruji Vangmaya Charcha Mandal. The Mandal organizes lectures, open discussions, debating, wall paper presentations, writing contests etc.
